Blue Seal Chemical Production Plant Limited is a chemical manufacturing company engaged in the production and supply of drilling fluids, production chemicals and specialty chemicals for the oil/gas and other industries. We are seeking a highly competent and commercially driven Bidding, Sourcing/Procurement Executive to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
i. Identify, monitor and pursue local and international bidding opportunities within the oil and gas industry.
ii.Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial bid submissions, ensuring compliance with clients' requirements and submission deadlines.
iii.Source chemicals, raw materials, equipment and other products/services from qualified local and international suppliers.
iv.Conduct supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation and onboarding.
v.Obtain and analyse quotations, negotiate competitive pricing and recommend suitable suppliers.
vi.Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, contractors and oilfield service companies.
vii.Research market prices, product availability, lead times and emerging opportunities in the oil and gas chemicals market.
viii.Liaise with technical, operations, finance and commercial teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
ix.Support the preparation of commercial proposals, quotations and tender responses.
x.Monitor purchase orders, deliveries and supplier performance.
xi.Maintain accurate records of bids, suppliers, quotations, purchase orders and procurement activities.
xii.Identify opportunities for cost savings, alternative sourcing and improved supply-chain efficiency.
xiii.Keep abreast of developments in the oil and gas industry, particularly in drilling fluids, production chemicals and specialty chemicals.
Requirements
i.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related discipline.
ii.Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in bidding, sourcing/procurement or commercial operations within the oil and gas industry.
iii.Proven experience with local and/or international oil and gas companies, oilfield service companies or chemical suppliers.
iv.Strong knowledge of drilling fluids and production chemicals is mandatory.
v.Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
vi.Good understanding of tendering and bidding processes.
vii.Ability to evaluate technical and commercial quotations and make sound procurement recommendations.
viii.Excellent communication, relationship-management and documentation skills.
ix.Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple bids and procurement activities simultaneously.
x.Good understanding of the various chemicals, additives and products used in drilling, completion, production and related oilfield operations will be an added advantage.
xi.Experience in sourcing chemicals and raw materials from international manufacturers/suppliers will also be an advantage.
xii.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant procurement/tender management tools.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate must be commercially astute, technically knowledgeable and highly resourceful, with a strong network and understanding of the oil and gas chemicals market. The candidate should be able to identify opportunities, develop competitive bids, source quality products and negotiate favourable commercial terms.
